By completely redesigning the follower, body, and spring geometry, our engineers were able to fit 2 more rounds in the same space as the five round magazine. If your looking for a airgun that looks real and has good range and a wide variety of round options, then this airgun is perfect. Its loud like a real gun as well so you can even scare off an intruder with just the sound. I'm definitely recommending this to all my family and friends.
I think it's an excellent product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a non lethal alternative to self defense. I've been practicing the kinetic rounds have an unbelievable impact. That alone would take the fight out of most people
Very excited about this purchase. Great quality product. this is a very solid, and very powerful non-letha gun, my wife and I feel safer walking to the park with our son knowing that we can defend ourselves. Customer service was amazing I place my order in 10 minutes I got an email saying that order was ready for pickup.
Tested on Corrugated boxes and went through , tested on 1/4 inch wood and almost went through. I love it
This thing is no joke!!! After testing it in my garage, i feel that it is a viable carry option...and i don't just trust any bullshit gimmick when my life is on the line. After witnessing what the solid projectiles did to the piece of particle board i was using as a backstop??? You can officially label me a "byrna believer". I will be buying a few more in future weeks.

The SD feels so comfortable in my hand, I was surprised, even though in didn't exactly know what to expect, on how fast the projectiles move. I plan on more practice soon. Very happy.
My husband and I bought 2 Byrna SD Kinetic kits. He received the black one and I got the pink one. They are similar in feel to a real pistol and are a great option for non lethal self defense. We also purchased lasers, Byrna Max projectiles and holsters. This is a great addition to my arsenal of tasers, batons and pepper spray cans. We live in a suburb of Seattle and have encountered individuals breaking into our automobiles and trying to enter our home. This will be a great deterrent to these encounters in the future. The Byrna launcher is easy to use and maintain and my 85 years young mother loves to practice shoot with it! Get one. It's a great tool for deterring bad situations. I prefer not to own a lethal weapon and this is a viable alternative. Several law enforcement officers have given me positive feedback on these launchers.
Works great. As far as personal protection devices go, I highly recommend the device. My job requires me to travel to many different places throughout the day and it’s nice knowing that I have a non lethal option to protect myself. I have nothing against carrying a lethal option, however most cases that people encounter where they feel threatened can be resolved with a show of force and if necessary, a powerful non lethal option without loss of life.

Although I also have the Byrna sling bag for everyday carry (which holds 4 CO2 and 2 tubes of balls), I needed the right product to keep the extra pepper ball tubes and CO2 cartridges handy at home or in reserve.
Byrna offered a great deal on this case at the time of this second purchase.
After I had received my Everyday Carry Starter kit in my first Byrna purchase, I realized that I need more pepper balls, but maybe not yet a whole bottle like the kinetic projectiles.
As a side note, I put sight dots on the Byrna launcher to help in less-than-optimal light conditions, like if I am target shooting in the wetlands outside the boundaries of my apartment complex.
This thing is amazing! I plan to purchase another one!
This seems like a great self defense option, especially with the Live X grade PepperBalls. It packs a big punch and after shooting a post from 30-35? away with a regular strength PepperBall, I walked up to it and immediately had some effects from the PepperBall. I am loading up with the LiveX ones that are 10x strength and feel confident in the device to provide me adequate protection.
This was a great deal. The bag is really nice and at a great deal it self.
